1. At what point did you decide you wanted to be an author?
I was an avid reader before I became an author. I was thirteen when I had the idea to create characters I could relate to. So at the young age of 13, I decided to create an account on Wattpad and write fan fictions of my favorite celebrities.
2. How do you balance being a mom and an author?
I'm still trying to find a balance. Some days I am a super woman and can change diapers, deal with tantrums, and write these books. But majority of the time it takes compromise between me and my man. When he sees me swamped, he will tap in to give me a few hours of peace. It really takes a village and I'm grateful for mine.
3. Do you have any major plans now that you're traditionally published?
Honestly, I have no idea what's in store for me. I'm still at the beginning stages of my career. I still have so much to learn and grow as an author. I still want the creative control over my books, so as of now, I just want to see how this book does with the masses before I decide what to really do with my career.
4. What's your favorite book that you've written?
My favorite book written is Summer's Solace. I used Summer and Truth's story to release a lot of the grief I felt and still feel after the death of my mother.
